North American Investigation (JANUARY 2012)

 

Case / Investigative Supervisor

 

Salary Commensurate with experience

 

 

Motivated, results-driven, analytical and versatile case supervisor/professional investigator for full time, in-house position at our Nassau County Long Island office

 

Requirements of the applicant: 

 

Characteristics: 

 

• Must understand technology and protocol of professional investigations.

• Dependable, detailed, organized leader, deadline-oriented, able to manage under duress. 

• Must be able to direct as well as take constructive criticism.

• Flexible and highly adaptable, assertive, able to handle confrontation well.

 

Responsibilities:  

 

• Assisting case manager with assigned tasks for cases.

• Assigning cases to appropriate investigators, ensuring all investigations are working according to protocol.

• Reporting and daily progress reports on ongoing cases to company’s president.

• Liaison with clients for status updates, gathering intel, and scheduling.

• Case preparation, develop plan of action, conduct preliminary tasks for cases.

• Independently conducts expert investigations.

• Follow through with cases from start to finish.

• Assist investigator's in various cases.

• Conduct various record searches and backgrounds checks.

• Responsible for handling client dispute resolutions.

• Assists in the recruiting, hiring, supervising, training of investigative staff.

•  Responsibility for a field investigative staff.

• Training investigative staff and new-hires according to company protocol and SOPs.

• Assessing productivity level of staff, taking corrective action as needed.

 

New Case Development: 

 

• Take incoming inquiries for investigations services for all client types 

• Develops a working project for each case 

• Collect or obtain necessary compensation for each case 

• Enter data in to proprietary database 

 

Investigative Reports:  

 

• Prepare/Review/Correct clear, detailed, articulate, grammatically correct reports of investigation for clients.

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

 

• Experience and proven success as an Investigator in a United States based corporate/contract security

program or substantial background as a Special Agent, NYPD, Investigator or equivalent position in a recognized federal or state law enforcement agency

• Experience as a Supervisor or Manager is highly preferred

• Specialized knowledge of investigative techniques & methodologies

• Strong computer skills, internet searching are required. Proficient with MS Word or similar. MAC OS a plus.  

   Basecamp & Filemaker a plus

• Research skills and database record searching experience

• Effective report writing skills

• Admin skills & strong client relations background
